Pension & income
- Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan) — pensioners must submit an annual digital life certificate; can be done from abroad/online. Official: jeevanpramaan.gov.in.
- Senior citizen savings & small-savings schemes — special interest rates and tax treatment apply; confirm current rates with India Post / banks.
Safety & rights

Worth Knowing
The single most valuable, most under-claimed entitlement right now is the 70+ Ayushman card — free, universal, and it covers serious hospital bills. If your parent is 70+ and doesn't have it, that's the one to sort this month.
